About Us 

The Chelsea Economic Development Corporation [Chelsea EDC / CEDC] is partnering with residents, businesses and community organizations to activate projects which expand economic opportunity and improve the quality of life in the
Chelsea Neighborhood of Atlantic City. 

 

The projects leverage the diversity and determination of the people; the neighborhood's beautiful natural assets such as the beach; the numerous and iconic business districts; and the stability and commitment of the anchor institutions and businesses organizations to build on what is a great neighborhood!

 

The Chelsea Economic Development Corporation is an incorporated 501 (c) 3, not for profit community development corporation.

George Tittermary gtittermary@chelseaedc.org George, a life-long and dedicated Atlantic City resident, devoted 35 years to Atlantic City Public Works, ultimately retiring as the Superintendent of Beach and Boardwalk. His extensive experience and robust relationships with Public Works and CRDA have been invaluable in his role with Chelsea EDC since 2021. He has actively contributed to areas such as beautification, code enforcement, public safety, and merchant support, highlighting his commitment to enhancing the community’s well-being and aesthetics.

Ahmed Ahmed aahmed@chelseaedc.org As a highly visible member of the Chelsea EDC team, Ahmed encourages community connections with both residents and business owners on a daily basis. During his time at Chelsea EDC, he has strengthened the neighborhood's sense of security by implementing the Ring Doorbell Camera initiative - creating a small but effective community with "eyes on the street" at all times. Ahmed also oversees our weekly neighborhood clean-up events and works to ensure that code violations in Chelsea are being addressed.

Gregory Anderson ganderson@chelseaedc.org Greg Anderson has joined the team at the Chelsea Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) as a Public Safety Specialist. Greg was born and raised in the city of Atlantic City and spent 32 years in the Atlantic City Police Department, retiring in 2015 as a Captain of Police. His duties there included patrol, investigations and 20 years as a supervisor and commander in both areas. Through his experience with the police department, Greg brings valuable insight into identifying and implementing actions and programs that are meant to further clean and safe initiatives in the Chelsea area, coordinated by the CEDC and other partners to achieve these goals. Greg places a priority on the involvement of the community in helping to insure the success of anything meant to improve the community in the area of public safety. Greg is enthusiastic about the work being done at the CEDC, recognizing that it is designed to strengthen and restore the strong sense of community in Chelsea and the city of Atlantic City therefore, providing an attractive environment for more economic development.

Halim Khan hkhan@chelseaedc.org Prior to immigrating to the Chelsea neighborhood, Halim built a diverse and extensive professional background, serving as a police officer and working in various capacities in the United States. His experience spans multiple domains, including a 30-year tenure as a former police officer, an 11-year stint at the United Nations, and a legal practice in Bangladesh. Since 2020, Halim has been contributing to Chelsea as a volunteer, currently balancing his role on a part-time basis. Alongside his commitments, he also holds a position at Borgata in Atlantic City while teaching yoga.
