Swap Meet Guide

Bazaar at Chelsea Assets_Badge.png

The Swap Meet is a hyper-local opportunity to find new treasures, engage with our neighbors, support sustainable practices, and strengthen our community.

It happens during the Bazaar at Chelsea in O’Donnell Park on Wednesdays from 3:00pm - 6:00pm starting September 13 through October 25.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SWAP MEET:

Join us at the Swap Meet! Here's how it works:

   1. Bring What You Don't Need: Gather items you no longer use or need. It could be clothing,
toys, household goods, or anything you think others might enjoy.
   2. Engage and Connect: Explore the items brought by your neighbors. Strike up conversations,
make new friends, and strengthen our community bonds.
   3. Swap Freely: There are no tokens or rules – simply offer what you have and take what you
love. It's about generosity, sustainability, and the joy of giving.
   4. Discover Treasures: Find hidden gems, unique items, and maybe something you never knew
you needed. Every swap is a delightful surprise.
   5. Foster Community: Beyond items, it's about building connections and creating a vibrant,
   caring community.

Join us, share the love, and let's make this swap meet a true celebration of community spirit!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. What if I don't find anything I want to swap for? If you don't find items that interest you, remember that the connections you make are equally valuable.

2. What happens to unswapped items? Unswapped items should be taken home or donated locally. Your generosity will continue to benefit the community.

3. Can I bring items without participating in the swap? Absolutely! If you're passionate about sustainability and community but not interested in swapping, you can contribute items to be swapped by others.

4. What types of items can I bring? You can bring a wide variety of gently used and functional items, including clothing, accessories, books, small electronics, art, toys, and more. We encourage participants to bring items they would be happy to receive themselves.
